We are looking to recruit a Band 6 Nurse Practitioner (adult or paediatric trained) to work as part of the Urgent Treatment Centre team, who will be responsible for providing high quality health care and information to the public. An opportunity exists for an experienced and highly motivated practitioner with relevant Adult or Paediatric experience who is committed to making a valuable contribution to the further development of these successful and pioneering services.
The services offer treatment for minor injuries and minor ailments 365 days per year, and are open from 8am to 9:00 pm.
If you have post-qualification experience in A&E, Walk-in Centre, or Urgent Care with recent experience in the treatment of minor ailments and injuries we would like to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
* To act as part of the Urgent Treatment Centre team, seeing patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed health problems; liaising with others to maintain and enhance a culture which promotes effective multidisciplinary team working within the organisation and across the wider health economy.
* To provide care and advice to clients utilizing evidence-based practice to promote effective treatment and health promotion.
* Assess, plan, and implement treatment plans using evidence-based nursing care.
* Act as an autonomous practitioner within agreed protocols guided by organisational policies and within the scope of professional practice.
* Work under indirect supervision in the provision of care to clients, accessing the knowledge and skills of the team leader as required.
* Act as a mentor to pre and post-registration nurses, allied health professionals, and unqualified students.
* The post holder should demonstrate flexibility and be able to work across a range of shift patterns.
* Participate in the education, development, and line management of other staff members.
* Be an effective team player within the interdependent unit, operating flexibly across both units as required and recognising the benefits of the integrated approach.

Qualifications
* Registered first level Adult/Paeds nurse.

* Clinical Examination module or equivalent at level 6 or 7.
