Overview
We have a vacancy for a Stock and Systems Manager on one of our key contracts. This is a key position to support the operational requirements within the 250k sq.ft National Distribution Centre, leading a team of circa 15 colleagues around the key areas of Stock Integrity and Systems support. The role will also be customer-facing and be responsible for a suite of Stock KPI's to ensure attainment and provide tactical leadership within the Senior Management Team on site.
Salary - Up to £50k
How will you contribute?
* Management and planning of a Perpetual Inventory methodology, identifying and correcting stock discrepancies and understanding 'root cause'
* Management of the Systems Central Control Tower ensuring that all operating systems are always performing to their optimum
* Creation of reports from a variety of systems and ensuring standardisation of reports methodology within the Distribution Centre.
* Monitoring and management of the Warehouse Management System to ensure high levels of service.
* Management of the systems network, housekeeping, liability and integrity.
* Ensure that team skills and knowledge are developed to a standardised level to provide optimum customer service.
* Identify possible improvements and seek cost-effective solutions.
* Design and implement CI projects as part of a wider CI site culture.
* Communicate and cascade effective communications on any stock or systems issues that may affect operational performance.
* Control the site stock levels and manage the site utilisation and occupancy.
* Manage and control the flow of stock into outside storage, if/when required.
* Ensure the network stock listing is controlled and the right stock is transferred around the network.
* Work with the customer on network and site projects, new system platforms, changes to existing platforms.
* Coach and promote Continuous Improvement within your team and site.
* Collate and provide statistical system information in several formats to meet the business needs.
* Maintenance of warehouse layout and pick-face layout to ensure optimum productivity is attained.
* Create and deliver weekly and monthly presentations to the Internal/External Business.
* Effectively manage, lead, and develop a team of dedicated colleagues to ensure a solid succession plan is in place.
