Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Buyer to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for sourcing products and maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure the best quality and pricing for our organisation.
Responsibilities
1. Source and procure materials and products in accordance with company requirements.
2. Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality service and timely delivery of goods.
3. Utilise systems such as SAGE for inventory management and procurement activities.
4. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
5. Monitor inventory levels and forecast future needs based on sales trends and production schedules.
6. Prepare reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and market conditions.
Experience
1. Proven experience in a buying or procurement role within a supply chain.
2. Strong negotiation skills.
3. Proficient in using procurement software and tools for efficient purchasing operations.
4. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail to evaluate supplier proposals accurately.
5. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated to achieve individual targets.
