SEND Teaching Assistant, Nailsea A secondary school in Nailsea are actively looking for a new specialist teaching assistant to join their school on a full time basis. The role will start in March 2025 and will be ongoing for the remaining academic year. This role will involve supporting pupil with mild learning difficulties and Speech, Language and Communication difficulties, and will require experience and an understanding of working with children with autism, speech delays, communication difficulties and mild to moderate behavioural difficulties. This role does not require a CACHE qualified teaching assistant but experience of supporting children with additional needs is a necessity. It would be beneficial to have an understanding of Makaton, BSL and other forms of non-verbal communication.
