Role: Service Manager Based: West Hampshire Rate: £35,482.74 - £39,917.70 Hours: Full Time – Monday to Friday Start Date: ASAP Duration: Permanent Essential: Full Clean UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle Our client, a well-respected domestic abuse charity, is currently recruiting for a Service Manager to spearhead change in the fight against domestic violence and abuse, the Service Manager will manage all aspects of domestic abuse outreach services and projects for women, men and children who have experienced domestic abuse. Synopsis of duties: To manage services that provide support, advice and assistance to adults and their children affected by domestic abuse and are staying in refuge/safe space and ensure that they are provided with secure, high-quality accommodation Responsible for the set-up, development and operational management of all aspects of accommodation services, community-based services/group work and specialist projects. To work in partnership with colleagues internally and externally that deliver perpetrator programmes. Coach and train to ensure the provisions are equipped with skilled and positive staff To support the Deputy Service Managers, senior staff, and support staff to take appropriate action in relation to any concerns regarding the safety of clients To work openly and in partnership with other agencies and organisations to ensure that services continue to meet the needs of women/men and children experiencing/escaping domestic abuse Provide direct support to Police, primary care services, housing departments and social services in the provision and co-ordination of support developing strong relationships with these and other partners to improve the outcomes for clients To handle complaints and participate in follow up investigations as required To be the primary point of contact for sub-contractors and partners and other stakeholders, ensuring that sub-contracted/partnership services are delivered to acceptable standards, monitoring information is provided, and any issues are addressed promptly Working with the Senior Leadership Team to identify, plan and manage new developments and contribute to the Business Plan and funding applicationsRequirements For the Position: Experience of dealing with crises and emergencies Experience of working in a residential setting/refuge/women’s advice centre or other relevant agency An ability to manage crisis situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach CAADA/Safe Lives Accredited Service Manager or willing to undertake this training within first year of employment Experience of dealing with crises and emergencies A minimum of 2 years line management experience. An understanding of and an empathy with the needs and experiences of women, children and men who have experienced domestic abuse Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle daily for work purposes Enhanced DBS and must have been either issued within the last twelve months or be registered on the update serviceSupporting Futures Consulting acts as both an employer and an agency
