Business Administration Apprentice – People Team
Location: Tops Stonehouse, 39 Wolsdon Street, Stonehouse, PL1 5EH
Pay rate: £6.41 per hour
Contracted Hours: 30 hours per week /Part time
Tops Day Nurseries are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to complete their Level 2 in Business Administration during a 12 month Apprenticeship within our People Department.
This is an exciting opportunity to complete your apprenticeship within a rapidly expanding organisation. Working within the People department, you will help the team with various administrative duties to support the smooth running of the team.
Whilst working in this role you will be working towards your Business Admin Level 2 which will be delivered onsite.
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate and enthusiastic about gaining the relevant experience, skills and qualifications to begin their career within an office environment. You will need to take this role seriously, as we are looking for someone that is eager to gain more responsibility throughout this apprenticeship and to progress through the business. Many of our current Head Office staff started with us as Business Admin apprentices! You must have a good level of communication skills and be confident at communicating with various levels of management within the business.
What does the role involve?
1. Deliver a smooth process of colleague records and associated administrative tasks throughout the colleague lifecycle from when a colleague starts up until they leave within a suitable turnaround time for the colleague and company.
2. Regular communication with both managers and colleagues of outstanding documents required to process these tasks, sharing relevant documentation/information with the wages department in a timely manner to support an effective payroll process for colleagues.
3. Work in partnership with the People Manager and People Director on ways of working and how to effectively manage the colleague records processes, ensuring feedback over any issues are constructive, and where necessary reviewed, ensuring a positive experience for colleagues and managers.
4. Supporting with ad hoc people team projects throughout the year.
