We are looking for a Senior Financial Controller t o be part of our Divisional Finance Team in the UK. What will you be doing? The MGroup Telecoms Division have an exciting new position within Divisional Finance at a time of significant business growth and change. As Divisional Senior Financial Controller you will play a key role in managing the financial controls and processes across the Telecom Division as well as ongoing review of risks within Financial Reporting, supporting the integrity and assurance of Division-wide Balance Sheets. You will work with a range of stakeholders across 4 operating entities in the Telecom Division, and also other key teams within the Central Group structure, giving this role excellent exposure across the MGroup finance community. As Divisional Senior Financial Controller you will be an excellent communicator with proven data analytics skills and attention to detail to succinctly record and report. You will also be a developing leader and influencer, willing to drive change and progress improvement across the varied and fast paced Telecom Division whilst aligning to the policies and principles of MGroup Services. You will be able and willing to deputise for the Divisional Head of Reporting and Control. What will your key responsibilities be? Lead on Balance Sheet Reconciliations (utilising ARCS reconciliation software) Utilise Power BI dashboards and support business finance teams to resolve and clear balances (AP on Hold, Unposted bank transactions, Unapplied Receipts, Aged Trade Debtors, Aged or Debit Trade Creditors/ GRNI) Lead on VAT reporting Lead on Cashflow consolidation and variance analysis Payroll Report Reviews Lead on Year End Reporting (including Stat Packs) Support Group Tax team with Tax Analysis, incl. Corporation Tax & RDEC Lead on Intercompany relationships, loans, recharges & reconciliations Maintain Fixed and intangible asset register (including monthly postings for depreciation/ amortisation and impairment review) Maintain Finance Lease schedules and associated postings Lead on Fraud Risk Assessments Lead on Month End Reporting into Group Control Team Support budget/ forecasting/ business planning activities from a cashflow/ balance sheet perspective Maintain and assure Financial delegation and controls Review & test key financial controls, assessing their effectiveness to mitigate risk Identify potential internal control weaknesses or risks before working with stakeholders to design and implement more robust financial processes and controls, updating division-level guidance or making wider recommendations where relevant Lead on Internal/ External Audit (including preparation of technical papers) Primary liaison with Group teams (Financial Shared Service Centre, Financial Reporting & Control, Supply Chain Control, Procurement, Treasury & Tax Teams) Support Divisional/ Group Finance Projects (including testing and development of Oracle enhancements) Management of three direct reports What competencies are we looking for? VAT FRS102 Accounting Principles/ Concepts Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience of presenting information to management Ability to work with a range of senior stakeholders to influence improvements Leadership/ Management skills Strong computer skills (Microsoft teams, excel, outlook, word, powerpoint) Confident in process review/ testing Uses own initiative to proactively resolve issues Self-motivated and takes ownership Well organised with good time management, able to manage multiple priorities Team player with flexible can-do attitude GCSE in English and Maths Qualified Accountant (ACA/ ACCA or equivalent) with a strong technical background. Management experience Competent financial professional with 3 years experience Knowledge of CIS and Domestic Reverse Charge (VAT) Oracle experience Experience in utility services/ construction industry Audit experience in a top or mid-tier firm would be an advantage ADZN1_UKTJ
