We are looking for talented and enthusiastic Production Coordinators for exciting, high-profile film and video game projects. We are looking for individuals with outstanding communication skills and prior experience in CG animation, visual effects, and game production. You will coordinate, track, and guide teams to ensure that projects are completed on time and with high quality.
This is a hybrid work opportunity. Please note that during the 90-day probationary period, this position will require working US East Coast hours.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Support producers and project managers to coordinate, track, and manage the activities of the team to ensure that project goals are completed on time.
* Overseeing department workflow to ensure that jobs are delivered on time and to agreed artistic and technical standards.
* Perform general clerical duties to support directors, producers, and project managers.
* Use project management tools, production methodologies, and leadership level dialogue to maintain tight schedules and high standards of quality.
* Manage schedules and track project milestone progress for industry-standard crafts in a CG animation and VFX pipeline.
* Drive and facilitate communication across multiple departments, studio personnel, and clients.
* Act as a key liaison between producers, supervisors, and artists.
* Support project management to create production reports.
* Record meeting notes and organize follow-up action items.
* Coordinate in-office work, remote work, and on-location production support as needed.
* Coordinate with studio support in arranging talent travel when needed.
* Participate in short- and long-term planning aligned with goals set by managers.
* Maintain a positive attitude, instill motivation, and collaborate with producers to improve best practices.
* At least 3 years of experience in a post-production or visual effects environment, with previous experience as a production coordinator or production assistant.
* Strong familiarity with industry-standard departments and workflows of visual effects and/or animation production.
* Experience collaborating with internal and external teams and partners, balancing competing interests to represent the company to the highest degree.
* Excellent project scheduling, time management, and organization skills.
* Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure.
* Leadership potential with an ability to inspire and be a force for a positive working environment.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Familiarity with Autodesk Flow (fka Shotgun & Shotgrid), Excel, Word, G Suite, Atlassian Jira and Confluence, LucidChart/LucidSpark, SyncSketch, and Perforce is preferred.
* Experience working in animation and/or virtual production projects working in Unreal Engine is preferred.
* Bachelor’s degree in film, communications, marketing, management or related field preferred.
* Internships at television stations or production companies are an asset.
* Self-motivated to learn, adapt, and grow.
