Business UnitOur company operates in a busy rail civils & buildings asset maintenance/management environment, focusing on reactive, planned, and preventative maintenance projects. With regional offices in Warrington and Tamworth, our Asset Management framework is responsible for maintaining and repairing rail assets under a long-term contract for CP7. Projects can range from bridge and tunnel repairs to managing flood and weather damage. Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Quantity Surveyor, you will work within the regional Framework Delivery team primarily focused on local rail maintenance projects. Your responsibilities will include: Collaborating with the commercial team to assist Senior Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers in managing multiple sites to meet deadlines and budget constraints. Preparing accurate pricing estimates and ensuring timely submission. Resolving pricing discrepancies with clients. Establishing and maintaining client relationships. Coordinating with Site Managers to gather daily operational information. Managing subcontractor relationships and performance. Assisting in change management processes and alerting for early warnings. Conducting contract administration (proficient in NEC/NR forms of contract). Preparing Cost Value Reports (CVRs) and final accounts. RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you should possess: Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a rail and civil engineering context. Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (HNC/HND/Degree). Practical experience with civil engineering projects, including rail, bridges, and structures. Familiarity with rail sector experience, particularly Network Rail projects or maintenance frameworks. Knowledge of NEC or bespoke Network Rail forms of contract.
