DT Specialist - Huyton
TA secondary school in Huyton, Liverpool is looking for a DT Specialist to join them from February half-term onwards. The role is Monday to Friday, 08:30 until 15:30. The right candidate will need to be familiar with resistant materials, textiles, and food. This is a fixed-term role until Easter, teaching a mixture of KS3 and KS4 students with SEN in small groups.
You'll be joining an inclusive and supportive school, focused on diversity and promoting a loving academic environment for those with additional needs. This is an exciting role for an experienced educator to join a fantastic school to support pupils in reaching their potential!
DT Teacher Role & Responsibilities:
1. Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students
2. Support pupils consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
3. Plan and deliver appropriate lessons in line with DT curriculum
DT Teacher Non-negotiables:
1. Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people
2. UK QTS or equivalent OR a minimum of 12 months of teaching experience in the UK
3. Experience with children with SEN needs.
