About the Service
Victoria House is a beautiful service situated on the bank of the Humber and provides accommodation, support, and care for people with brain injury and complex needs. We are looking for people to help the Manager drive a program of improvement.
The Role:
As a Team Leader your main purpose will be to contribute and have responsibility for providing quality social and vocational support services for the people we support. You will lead, supervise and develop a team of support workers to ensure the needs of those we support are met according to their individual support plan in line with company policy and procedures and regulatory standards.
Main duties will include:
* Supporting a service through a phase of growth and improvement.
* Supporting staff through tools such as supervisions and observations to give excellent quality care.
* Supporting staff to make full, meaningful, and appropriate records.
* Incident reporting.
* Joining the local leadership team in driving quality improvements and cultural change.
* Maintaining boundaries, dignity, and confidentiality.
* Empathy for our residents, with the positivity, patience, and resilience to support them through rehabilitation.
* Enjoying teamwork and taking pride in getting a job done well alongside your colleagues.
* Excellent face-to-face communication skills and a good standard of literacy.
* Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise your own workload.
* Supporting and supervising a team of Support Workers to deliver best practice and exceed quality standards of care and support.
Requirements:
* Experience of managing a team (desirable).
* NVQ / QCF level 3 HSC or willingness to work towards within 12 months.
Skills/Experience required:
* Previous experience of working within a care/support environment.
* Knowledge of current relevant legislation relating to care standards, health and safety and food hygiene.
* Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
* Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable in approach, being able to prioritise, plan and organise the workload.

Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
Schedule:
* 10 hour shift.
* 12 hour shift.
* Day shift.
* Weekend availability.

* Home care: 1 year (required).
