Personal Wellbeing Mentor
Salary: £23,625 per annum + Benefits - Successful candidates are subject to our Development Progression Scale, as well as annual salary reviews
Maternity Cover: 12 month duration
Covering Walsall & Wolverhampton – Due to regular travel, the role does require access to transport (i.e. daily commutes, multi-site travel on occasion).
The successful candidate will develop relationships with the Probation Practitioners supporting Service Users to improve their personal wellbeing.
What are we looking for?
* Hold the professional relationship with the Responsible Probation Officer (RO) to support Service Users (SU) through one-to-one and group interventions.
* Conduct an initial assessment with all referred Service Users to assess the appropriate level of support required for their personal wellbeing journey.
* Prepare & agree individual action plans, following initial assessment, and regularly review progress with the SU.
* Deliver in a variety of venues including Ingeus community venues and probation offices across the Region.
To be successful you will require:
* Experience of working with vulnerable/challenging people; utilizing strong interpersonal skills supporting individuals with ever-changing complex needs.
* Evidence of Case Management (i.e. dealing with multiple people, having difficult conversations, providing tailored solutions relating to people with ‘lived experience’. Successful candidates must be non-judgmental, open-minded and honest when dealing with service-users).
* The ability to deliver short and tailored interventions to address barriers within a given timeframe (achieving deadlines and diary & time management experience is highly preferred).
