Residential Deputy Manager
Location: Gainsborough, Lincolnshire
Pay Rate: £32,500 per annum
Contracted Hours: 37.5 hours per week
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and compassionate Residential Deputy Manager to join a well-established 46-bed care home in Gainsborough, providing residential, respite, and dementia care. This role will support the Home Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the home, ensuring high standards of care are delivered, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Home Manager in the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, company policies, and best practices.
* Lead and support the care staff team, including mentoring, supervision, and training to maintain the highest standards of care.
* Manage rota planning, recruitment, induction, and mandatory training for staff to ensure the home operates efficiently.
* Monitor individual employee performance, providing constructive feedback and addressing any concerns through appropriate channels.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of person-centred care plans for residents, ensuring their needs are assessed and met.
* Support with marketing and financial management to grow occupancy and manage costs effectively.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, their families, and external healthcare professionals.
* Ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents and staff by maintaining a secure and comfortable environment.
Qualifications and Experience
* Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) with a willingness to work towards Level 4 or 5.
* Previous management experience in an elderly care setting, with a proactive, hands-on approach.
* Experience in marketing and financial management, with the ability to manage occupancy and control costs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a team.
* A genuine passion for elderly care and a commitment to promoting independence and dignity for residents.
