About the Role: We are excited to announce that we are recruiting for two multi-skilled operatives to join our Folkestone office, working on our repairs and maintenance contract. If you have a passion for quality workmanship and a commitment to excellence, we want to hear from you External Works Multi-Skilled Operative: We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team and take on a variety of external works. Your responsibilities will include: Brickwork: Constructing and repairing brick structures with precision and care. Concreting: Laying and finishing concrete for pathways and other surfaces. Pathways: Creating and maintaining safe and attractive walkways. Garden Walls: Building and repairing garden walls to enhance outdoor spaces. Lintels: Installing and maintaining lintels to ensure structural integrity. Internal Works Multi-Skilled Operative: We are also looking for a skilled individual to handle a range of internal repairs and maintenance tasks. Your duties will include: Bathroom and Kitchen Repairs: Performing maintenance and repairs to keep these essential spaces functional and attractive. Hanging Doors: Installing and adjusting doors to ensure smooth operation. Boxing Pipes: Concealing pipes neatly and efficiently. Repairing Doors and Locks: Fixing and maintaining doors and locks to ensure security and ease of use. Fixing Timber Flooring: Installing and repairing timber flooring to maintain a high standard of quality. Key Criteria: Core Trade: Proficiency in either Plumbing or Carpentry. Experience: Demonstrated experience in brick laying or ground works. On-the-Job Experience: Extensive practical experience in relevant tasks. Manual Handling: Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and effectively. Driving Licence: Possession of a full UK driving licence. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points. All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK, Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
