Paid Account Manager, Asia Global Selling Team
Amazon provides enterprises the opportunity to sell their goods on the Amazon platform worldwide, and more than 2 million sellers have been using this Marketplace service today. Amazon is developing infrastructure to support this growth around the world, particularly in the booming cross border selling area.
MDS (Manufacturer Direct Service) paid service is a nascent but fast-expanding program aiming at providing Manufacturers (M-sellers) with professional and value-added services including account operation, management services, and consulting services to drive M-sellers to maximize their presence and business in Amazon US marketplaces. Meanwhile, to enhance M-sellers experience and improve the Amazon end customer experience by enabling more high-quality selection, better input management, and fewer defects in their shopping experience.
In this context, Amazon China Global Selling MDS team is seeking an experienced advertising Ops who needs to assist the M-sellers in developing a year-round advertising plan based on actual financial budgets and specific product categories. You’ll not only dive deep into data to understand trends, but also communicate the “why” behind results and make actionable recommendations to internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, you’ll be able to leverage Amazon’s proprietary data to provide Ads strategic and personalized recommendations, influencing both your internal team and your external customer to facilitate them reaching their business goals.
Key job responsibilities:
1. Become an expert on Amazon solutions, understand our advertisers' needs and consult them with insights and recommendations to achieve greater results on Amazon.
2. Be holistic in your recommendations including Sponsored Ads, Video & Display Ads, and Retail insights to demonstrate how they are working together to achieve advertisers’ goals on Amazon.
3. Exhibit deep analytical ability and link local market performance and insights to optimize advertiser performance that fulfills advertiser goals.
4. Monitor performance of SP, DSP, SB, SBV, etc. accounts across verticals and drive one-to-many activities to improve performance.
5. Leverage Amazon’s data and your understanding of our advertising customers’ business to collaborate with PM/Central Ops team to drive product/feature/service content innovations to further improve M-sellers business and satisfaction.
About the team:
MDS Team provides hand-holding value-added services with holistic account management support, including:
1. Support new account and brand registry, cold start operation and education (products launch, listing edit and optimization, ads operation, etc);
2. Monitoring and maintaining account performance, and working with clients to improve performance;
3. Proactively monitoring accounts to identify and address any issues that may impact performance;
4. Managing relationships with key accounts and developing strategies to maximize these relationships;
5. Working across all relevant cross-functional areas to guarantee effective communication, implementation, and execution of objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. 3+ years of experience as an Amazon seller or providing third-party operational services.
2. Proven track record of delivering results (including revenue targets) and significantly contributing to revenue growth.
3. Media planning & brand planning capabilities.
4. Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers.
5. Success in optimizing products and services based on client needs.
6. Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams and building strong relationships internally and externally.
7. Excellent organizational, relationship-building, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. 3+ years of hands-on experience as an Amazon seller or in operational management roles, with a focus on practical operations and project implementation.
2. Experience aggregating and analyzing internal and external campaign metrics to assess performance drivers and identify insights.
3. Digital advertising experience and understanding of related ad specifications, file formats, and technologies.
4. Self-directed, goal-oriented, and flexible, enjoying working in a fast-paced and at times ambiguous environment.
