Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Cardiff
Salary: £40,000 - £44,000 per annum + pension, profit share scheme and more

Roles & Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will work as part of a team responsible for:
1. Process improvements, machine reliability, waste control, and quality of the finished product.
2. Leading projects as required, taking responsibility for continuous improvements, new product development, installation and commissioning of new machinery, and various new products or machine related projects.
3. Supporting engineering with design, re-design, and development of process equipment.
4. Organising, implementing, maintaining, and improving production process flows.
5. Driving a continuous improvement culture and Lean manufacturing techniques/principles throughout the business.
6. Investigating customer quality concerns relating to process and transport, using RCA and implementation of 8D methodology to reduce/eliminate repeat concern.
7. Identifying ways to reduce production costs, project planning changes, and implementing challenging deadlines.
8. Driving change on 7 wastes culture.
9. Ability to create FMEA’s.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
1. Experience in a Continuous Improvement / Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer / Process Engineer role.
2. Educated to HNC level (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline would be beneficial.
3. Lean Management.
4. Must be fully proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.
5. Experience of 2D and / or 3D CAD would be beneficial.
6. A proven track record of implementing improvements in processes and operational effectiveness.
7. Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment with a good understanding of manufacturing processes.
