Our client who are a leader in British engineering, are looking for a Employee Relations Advisor to join their people services team in Plymouth. About the Role This role is an essential role in cultivating a positive and productive workplace culture where sickness, and absenteeism is addressed proactively with the workforce. As a hands-on position, it is responsible for ensuring the effective resolution of all Employee Relations cases. Key Responsibilities As a HR Advisor, you'll be responsible for: Employee Relations Case Work: Support managers in performance improvement and disciplinary actions, specifically in relation to sickness and absence. Develop and deliver targeted action plans to reduce sickness absence. Employee Support & Conflict Resolution: Provide advice around workplace issues, mediate conflicts, and investigate grievances. Policy Development & Compliance: Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and Advise management on policy matters. Employment Relations Case Management: Manage a range of complex and contentious matters with high-level Absence Management : Proactively identify and implement service improvements in absence management. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records and report on employee relations trends, and KPI's. Advisory & Consultation: Advise managers and employees on employee relations matters. What You'll Bring To succeed in this role, you'll need: Essential : A CIPD Level 3 qualification (or equivalent experience). Demonstrable experience in employee relations, grievance and disciplinary cases. Desirable : A CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience). Experience in the manufacturing sector.
