Do you consider yourself to have great customer service skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships? We have a 12 month opportunity for a Customer Accounts Officer to work with customers in respect of arrears management.
Not everyone will be drawn to a role of this type, however you’ll see the benefits of providing a really strong supportive service. As a Customer Accounts Officer in the home ownership team, you will be working with our leaseholders to ensure that we maintain a strong arrears management programme.
Your tasks will be varied but will include following up on service charge arrears and agreeing appropriate repayment plans, answering calls and emails and visiting our customers in their homes to understand their circumstances and achieve positive outcomes for them and us.
You will identify customers that require support and will signpost them to relevant agencies or internal departments, whilst building some really strong relationships.
This is a part time role, 18.5 hours per week. There is flexibility in respect of the working pattern.
About You
Good customer service will be really important to you and you’ll understand how this can help to achieve positive outcomes.
You’ll be a great communicator and will naturally adapt your style depending on your audience. You’ll know when a phone call or visit is the right approach and you’ll be competent with your written style to support those formal discussions.
You will already have knowledge of rent and service charge arrears recovery. You will see yourself as a strong administrator, able to work to deadlines, keep strong records and juggle fluctuating workloads.
You’ll need to have a flexible approach to meet the needs of our customers, including local and regional travel. Regular meetings are held across our regions so being happy to travel is a must. You’ll need to have a UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for work purposes.
Our operating regions include Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall and London.
