The qualification to be achieved on completion of the Modern Apprenticeship is SCQF5.
Modern Apprenticeship posts are open to all North Ayrshire Residents aged 16-19 years old at commencement of employment.
North Ayrshire Council would like to invite you to apply for a position as a Modern Apprentice in Horticulture, working in the Streetscene team. A keen interest in horticulture is a must. Candidates will be learning on the job whilst also working towards a nationally recognised qualification.
Staff Values & Behaviours
Our values of Focus, Passion, and Inspiration are core in everything we do and how we do it. They are the foundation that our work is built on, and they are used to measure how well we do each day. When they are, we can - and will - deliver the best services for the communities of North Ayrshire.
North Ayrshire Council is committed to providing a fully inclusive and accessible recruitment process. As a Disability Confident Employer, the Council has agreed to pilot the introduction of See Me CVs within the recruitment process for disabled candidates applying for Modern Apprentice roles. This post is included in the above pilot and will provide any disabled candidate the opportunity to provide a See Me CV in addition to their application form as an alternative method to demonstrate they meet all the essential criteria for the post as detailed in the role profile.
This is an optional mechanism for candidates and all information provided in the See Me CV is treated as confidential under the Data Protection Regulations.
When shortlisting job applicants seeking a Modern Apprenticeship with the Council, subject to meeting the essential criteria, priority will be given to those who are currently unemployed, followed by applicants who are already in work and seeking to develop their career.
