About the Role
The purpose of the role is to perform the detailed costing, planning, and delivery of UK office infrastructure solutions and enterprise networks.
This role is based in Ipswich, follows hybrid working & requires you to be commutable to Ipswich throughout the work week
Responsibilities of the Role
1. Ensure all projects comply with BT H&S framework and follow BT security policy (inc.multidomain compliance), including Technology Comms rooms. Providing advice and guidance to customers.
2. Take lead roles and own work-packages/projects to deliver UK office infrastructure solutions and enterprise networks. Liaising with customers, management and team to a successful delivery.
3. Own geographic workstack, prioritising to meet customer and team expectations whilst delivering multiple projects and BAU requests.
4. Provide support and guidance to Customers on network and service delivery.
5. Manage financial and related requirements to meet TSO and Customer budgetary objectives, challenging costs and seeking efficiencies.
6. Attend customer and project meetings as necessary keeping customers, managers informed of progress and see the issues through to resolution. This will include project progress updates to management team via regular team and project calls.
7. Provide UK assistance to the wider team when and where required.
8. Participate in CI and influence change within the team.
9. Lead on your own personal development.
10. Accurately and regularly update record systems including; Network records, diagrams, and relevant systems such as Diamond IP and Blueprints.
11. Follow voice and data processes for notice of provisions, cessations, notifications within the enterprise network. Where process gaps identified create or modify new or existing processes.
12. Use HPSM for all network related changes including regular updates via Dynamic IT Pulse.
Skills Required for the Role
13. Cisco Enterprise Network knowledge and IP skills to CCNA. (CCNA not essential).
14. Planning and Delivery skills, owning projects through feasibility to commission. Being flexible, hands on and the ability to Clerk of Works internal/external contract labour. DC Power accreditation or willing to undertake the qualification.
15. Knowledge of Teams, Service Now, CSS, Diamond IP, Share Point, Ariba (Purchase Orders) and COSMOSS is desirable.
16. Very personable and customer centric. Ability to converse and work with people at all levels within the business in meetings and conference calls.
17. Driving is an essential part of the role, as is working alone and a level of physical fitness. The role requires someone who is flexible, willing to work outside normal hours, travel nationally for projects when required.
