About the Role
Experience More Limited (EML) comprises Buyagift and Red Letter Days brands part of the Moonpig Group. EML's mission is to ‘Create unique memories that last a lifetime’ for its customers and be ‘the most trusted platform in the UK gift experience market’. As a core member of the Commercial leadership team, the role is instrumental in delivering the mission whilst ensuring the channels commercial objectives are met.
The Head of Partnerships is responsible for developing and implementing the partnership strategy for EML across retail (both traditional and e-commerce) and B2B relationships. It leads on the achievement of the trading objectives for these channels and supports the wider commercial strategy. Success is measured by how the Head of Partnerships can achieve the commercial targets and continuously develop the customer proposition for Partnerships and B2B customers.
The role reports to the Commercial Director for the Experiences Division and works in collaboration with the Trading, Buying, Merchandising and Marketing teams to deliver on the commercial objectives.
Key accountabilities
* Lead the strategy, development and execution of the commercial plans across retail partnerships.
* Accountable for channel sales revenue, margin and performance delivering the in-year budget.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with retail and strategic partners (Moonpig), driving performance through improved sales, margin and continual proposition development.
* Continually improve ongoing distribution of Buyagift and Red Letter Days products.
* Ensure distribution and prominence is continually enhanced in peak trading periods.
* Develop new retail accounts and opportunities that enhance the brands.
* Develop and execute channel specific trading plans aligned with the overall B2C plan.
* Lead on the development of the Retail partnership proposition, collaborating with the wider EML team to ensure revenue and customer experience objectives are met.
* Lead on the development of the range proposition for Moonpig.
* Continually develop and motivate the team ensuring capability is matched to the needs of the channels.
About you:
* 5+ years in a senior sales/business development role with significant experience in directly managing corporate accounts.
* 5+ years experience in working within a fast moving retail, product or service industry environment with accountability for revenue and margin targets.
* 3+ years experience in effectively managing sales teams.
* Excellent account management skills with a proven track record of value creation and clear evidence of delivering significant and sustainable improvement in financial results.
* Can-do mindset with proven ability to execute trading initiatives at pace.
* Evidence of being able to pioneer new business relationships.
* Proven track record of successfully managing supplier/partner relationships.
* Evidence of creating value through evolving the product or proposition.
* Experience navigating competitive distribution environments and developing tactics to overcome obstacles.
