In the UK, Safran Seats specializes solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide-body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales, and Brackley, England.
The purpose of this role is to coordinate the day-to-day requirements through the production system with specific emphasis on reducing NVA from inputs into assembly areas. To manage the production orders, travelers, and coordinate deliveries into the production process. Maximize efficiency and reduce waste to achieve OTD targets. Encourage and participate in continuous improvement activities within the production system.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure production requirements are integrated into the daily production schedule and communicate daily work coordination to colleagues.
2. Take responsibility for component quality and conformity.
3. Implement best practices and maintain the highest housekeeping standards.
4. Minimize shop-floor material inventory.
5. Contribute and secure all inputs to ensure cell performance outputs are achieved (specifically measured against KPIs and NVA measures).
6. Ensure a consistent approach to 'standardized work', share learning experiences.
7. Maintain a safe environment for yourself and colleagues in accordance with the Company's Health & Safety policy.
8. Undertake other duties and tasks as may be reasonably requested by your manager from time to time.
9. Process NCR's and MRB stock cages.
Job Requirements
Candidate skills:
* Good working knowledge of Baan, GCSE / NVQ Level 2.
* Understanding of SSGB product and quality concerns, good understanding of MRP principles.
