Working in our UK support functions you'll play a key part in helping our customer facing colleagues deliver exceptional standards of customer service and patient care.
As our IT Supplier Relationship Manager you will be responsible for maximising the in-contract relationship from Bupa's strategic suppliers. This includes managing the suppliers within Bupa's Supplier Management Framework, ensuring compliance to Bupa regulatory obligations, reducing contract cost and extracting value and building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to obtain optimum performance from the supplier.
How you'll help us make health happen:
1. Onboarding suppliers post contract award, managing suppliers against the Supplier Management Framework and building and maintaining ongoing relationships with suppliers.
2. Leading regular governance review meetings with strategic suppliers to review supplier performance against contract, including SLA performance, cost reductions, continuous improvement opportunities and quality of service.
3. Ensuring suppliers fulfil FCA compliance (where applicable).
4. Owning and managing supplier risk profile to manage and mitigate supply chain risks.
5. Driving the strategy of the category, collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive innovation, efficiencies, and business development opportunities.
6. Leading internal reviews with key stakeholders to identify business needs and tangible service improvements.
7. Developing and maintaining plans to prioritise and implement continuous improvement in terms of service, cost, risk and flexibility.
8. Instigating and developing action plans to remedy poor supplier performance.
9. Leading market scanning and benchmarking to monitor the direction of the supply market.
10. Providing regular Management Information reports and updates to the business stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
* Experience in managing supplier against the requirements set out in the FCA (SYSC 8/13) and PRA handbook.
* Experience in either supplier assurance or audit.
* Knowledge of working with and managing outsourced Service Providers.
* A good knowledge of supply chain processes and the tools and techniques that can be used to improve them.
* Professional Procurement or Risk Management qualifications.
* Good understanding of risk management frameworks and compliance activities.
* Knowledge and experience of contract terms and conditions with an emphasis on drafting schedules.
* Strong commercial awareness with a demonstrable record of value-based delivery.
* Analysis, problem solving and decision making skills.
* Ability to communicate complex topics in efficient and effective manner.
* Strong negotiation skills.
* Experience of building and maintaining effective relationships at all levels.
