About Them:
Situated in the borough of Knowsley, the Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) provides high-quality education to students who have faced challenges in mainstream education due to medical, social, emotional, or behavioural needs. Serving young people from Years 1 to 11, their dedicated team of experienced and qualified staff support students in developing resilience, confidence, and academic progress through a personalised curriculum tailored to each student’s needs.
The Role:
They are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and inspirational Teacher with a specialism in Food, who is also able to deliver KS3 Art. The successful candidate will play a key role in inspiring disengaged students, delivering personalised and engaging lessons, and promoting a positive learning environment that sets high expectations for all.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspire and engage students, helping them make significant progress through innovative lessons in Food and Art.
* Provide guidance and support to achieve the best possible outcomes for each student.
* Build positive relationships with students, serving as a role model and setting high expectations.
* Promote an inclusive environment that values and supports all students.
* Offer pastoral care, support, and guidance as a form tutor.
* Maintain a productive learning environment conducive to student success.
* Deliver and assess KS4 qualifications relevant to the curriculum.
About You:
The ideal candidate will be a suitably qualified teacher with a passion for Food and Art. You will have a talent for building positive relationships with students, a commitment to high standards, and the ability to adapt lessons to meet individual student needs. Prior experience in a similar setting is an advantage but not essential.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Specialism in Food, with the ability to teach KS3 Art.
* Excellent classroom management skills.
* Strong interpersonal and team-working skills.
* A commitment to inclusion and positive educational experiences for all students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
