A friendly, busy family is looking for a lovely housekeeper/cook to help with all the normal household jobs! This would suit an experienced housekeeper who has worked in a private house (not your own) for at least 2 years, or someone who has worked in hospitality (Hotels / Yachts / Chalets).

9 am or 9.30 am start, 5 days per week, part-time, 3 - 4 hours per day.
We are looking for someone to become a permanent member of the team.

It is a traditional housekeeping role.
Skills and Responsibilities
* Cleaning and tidying: Knowledge of cleaning techniques for various surfaces and materials and ability to keep rooms meticulously tidy.
* Organisation: Ability to keep house organised, manage storage spaces and keep on top of supplies.
* Time Management: Efficiently manage your time and complete tasks in a timely manner.
* Attention to Detail: Ensuring all areas are kept clean and tidy and seeing what needs to be done.
* Laundry, bed changes and ironing: Skilled in washing, drying, folding and ironing and knowledge of caring for different types of fabrics.
* Cooking or Food preparation: Good cooking skills and the ability to assist in food preparation.
* Discretion and Confidentiality: Respecting the privacy of the household.
* Communication Skills: Ability to communicate well with the family, other staff, guests and visitors.
* Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust to the changing needs and schedules of the household.
* Other ad hoc housekeeping tasks: Arranging flowers, cleaning silver, organising/cleaning out cupboards, occasional deep cleans, taking deliveries and putting away food shops, running errands: taking parcels to post office, shoes to repair or dry cleaning.
Qualities
* Energetic, proactive and enthusiastic.
* Discreet and professional, knowing when to step forward and when to step back.
* A self-starter who can see what needs to be done.
* Great attention to detail.
Candidate requirements
* A minimum of 2 years experience working in a housekeeping setting with excellent, contactable references.
* DBS checked.
