The post holder will be responsible for the organisation and booking of the diagnostic appointments for patients. This will include the management of outpatient clinics, answering queries from patients and staff in all forms whilst also supporting and contributing towardsthe progression of patient pathways. The service is fast paced and you would be expected to carry out a variety of administrative tasks

To provide an efficient administrative service in the day to day reduction of patient’s waiting times for inpatient and outpatient diagnostic appointments.
Acting as a first point of contact and dealing with enquiries relating to outpatients appointments.
Contribute towards maintaining an efficient and effective multi-disciplinary service for the Gynaecology team incorporating the provision of secretarial, clerical and administrative support.
To provide an efficient administrative service in the day to day reduction of patient’s waiting times for inpatient and outpatient diagnostic appointments.
Developing and sustaining effective communication channels with the specialty teams and other key staff groups and departments involved in the management of the patients’ pathways in order to ensure complete and accurate data collection.
Liaising with healthcare professionals to obtain information for clinical audit purposes and ensure accuracy and completeness of the Trust’s data.
Utilise relevant Trust IT systems, ensuring all relevant patient data is collected and inputted accurately in line with Trust guidelines..
Provide appropriate cover in the absence of other members of the team.
