Job summary We are recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed Physician Associate to join our team at Tudor Medical Group. Our practice is located in Wolverhampton with a 23,150 patient list size over 4 locations, all within close proximity. We have an experienced clinical team comprising of: General Practitioners Physician Associates (Currently 4) Pharmacist Practitioners Nurse Practitioners Clinical Pharmacists Pharmacist Technicians Physiotherapist Mental Health Practitioner There is an experienced nursing, administrative and managerial team to enable efficient and enjoyable team work. A streamlined proactive approach to daily work allows for a manageable daily workload. Systems used include Emis Web, Docman, Lexacom and AccuRx. Main duties of the job The Physician Associate will support the GPs and clinical team. The role will require the post holder to run their own clinics ensuring appropriate history taking, examination, differential diagnosis and management plan formulated within their capability. There will be a variety of duties including: Face to face consultations Telephone consultations Home visits Dealing with queries / tasks Test Results Correspondence Private medical reports Weekly self directed learning with Practitioner colleagues. The role and responsibilities are not exhaustive or limited to the above. Training will be provided in these areas above, however existing experience is beneficial. The Physician Associate will be assessing the health care needs of patients and making professional, clinical decisions as part of patient consultations. This will include safe and appropriate prescribing / treatment plans which are always under supervision of an experienced General Practitioner.
