Shift: Monday to Friday Shift Times: 0800-1600 Hours: 37.5 hours per week Rate: £24 - £30 Location : Derbyshire Description: We are currently seeking a Senior Anatomical Pathology Technician to join our Cancer division at Chesterfield & North Derbyshire Royal Hospital. This role offers an opportunity for individuals with the relevant qualifications and experience to contribute to our pathology team. responsibilities: Conduct complex dissections and autopsies under the guidance of pathologists. Prepare and process tissue specimens for analysis, including embedding, sectioning, staining, and mounting. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Provide support and guidance to junior staff members and pathology trainees. Maintain accurate records of specimens, tests, and procedures performed. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients. Requirements: RSPH Certificate (or level 3) and Diploma (or level 4) in Anatomical Pathology Technology. Experience working in a pathology laboratory setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of anatomy, histology, and laboratory procedures. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
