About Our Client
My client is a world-leader in FMCG distribution across Europe. With over £2billion in turnover and over 1,500 sites across the world they are a giant in their sector. Over the last 24 months the client has been establishing a national distribution centre in Coalville, Leciestershire. The site will be over 1 million square foot and be home to over 1000 employees. The site will be the first fully automated distribution centre in the network and work primarily from Manhattan WMS software! You will be joining the business at an extremely exciting time!
Job Description
As a Warehouse Maintenance Shift Manager you will report in the Warehouse Facilities Manager in the Coalville site. You will be responsible for managing the successful automated product flow through the warehouse and be responsible for the following key areas:
3. Drive a culture of safety onsite, identifying areas of risk within the automation area and leading by example.
4. Carrying out trend analysis and creating reports and dashboards to support the senior operational team.
5. Analyse and integrate automation systems.
6. Responsible for the relationship between our client and the onsite third-party engineering team.
7. Actively carry out root cause analysis on automation incidents, supplying in depth analysis and reliable counter measures to prevent re-occurrence.
8. Support audits of site performance and challenge current maintenance engineering strategies to ensure maximum value is maintained.
9. In conjunction with the operational flow control team, develop contingency and disaster recovery plans/documentation.
10. Delivering performance and availability KPI's.
11. Support the planning of the operation in relation to the system and building workflow.
12. Work closely with IT to ensure wider KPI system integration and ongoing performance.
13. Drives a culture of Continuous Improvement amongst the wider operational team.
14. Supports the implementation of Continuous Improvement opportunities and provides feedback on performance.
15. Reviews EOS (End of Shift Reports) investigates fault details and potential preventions.
16. Maintains all documentation relating to engineering specific subjects, such as FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis).
17. Responsible for supporting the onsite training team by providing automation specific training to frontline colleagues and maintaining documentation.
18. Support for operational team using engineering experience to develop robust processes.
19. Ensuring all operational expectations and daily ordering fulfilment are met.
20. KPI's are monitored and achieved.
21. An active member of the maintenance team, advising on plant safety, condition, and performance.
22. Manage the sites expectations and relationships through excellent communication explaining complex problems in simple terms.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Warehouse Maintenance Shift Manager will have an enhanced background in warehousing automation, maintenance, systems and engineering. You will also be commutable to the Coalville area of Leciestershire:

27. Excellent stakeholder communication at all levels of the plant.
28. Understanding of Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic technical manuals & drawings.
29. Proactive and holistic mindset.
30. Ideally NVQ Level 3 qualified in an Engineering Subject
