We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technicianto join our Primary Careteam at HMP YOI Swinfen Hall, a category C Prison located in Staffordshire. An all male prison working with young offenders ranging from 18-28.
Working as part of the Primary Care team who all work very integrated, this sole Pharmacy Technician will have a wealth of support both by the Pharmacy Assistant and also the regional pharmacy hub. There is lots of opportunity to progress and develop in this role with additional training provided. Due to the remote location, you do need to be a driver as there is no public transport.
Hours
Working 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday, no BH or weekend work. Would also consider someone looking for 30 hours a week. Hours are 7.30am-5.30pm, ideally working 3 longer days and 2 shorter days finishing at 12.30pm.
This position is full time,youll receive an annual salary up to £32346per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As aGPHC registeredPharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will
* Provide outstanding quality based patient centred care to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
* Focussing on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
* Deliver non-judgemental care within the scope of professional standards. Involving anything from the timely administration of medicines through to analysing cost effective prescribing as defined through our unique health in justice medicines policy.
* You will make a real difference by working as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Qualifications required
* NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
* General GCSE education or equivalent
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
