Job Description Control Account Manager – Tech Insertion - Submarines Full time Derby Why Rolls-Royce? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Control Account Manager to lead and be responsible for the technology insertion of new product into new nuclear licenced site facilities in support of the Royal Navy and the UK defence strategy. Rolls-Royce Submarines is entering a once in a generation period of substantial growth and is looking for a talented project professional to lead in an established, long term (10 year) UK Nuclear programme. Accountabilities will extend to safety, quality, cost, and time as part of a wider programme of equally high complexity and value (>£1bn). The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Programme, within the Core Regen Team. This leadership role will be responsible for directing, managing and developing multidisciplinary teams, knowledge transfer throughout the US/UK exchange, as well as internal and external stakeholders. The project entails establishing and managing the Control Account baseline for technical insertion of Core products in support of the AUKUS Core Capability Infrastructure Programme. What you will be doing: You will lead integration across all workstreams and organisational boundaries to deliver project/programme objectives. Lead the project/programme including initial set up, recruitment, developing and evaluating team performance where appropriate. Monitor, control and manage the overall project performance to address deviations from plan in line with company standard processes. Influence and manage key internal and external project/programme stakeholders. Identify, develop, and implement Project Management processes / tools where appropriate. Promote the culture and nuclear professionalism of project/programme management throughout the business. We are seeking a candidate who: Is qualified to at least degree level or have equivalent industry experience, with appropriate Project Management accreditations/qualifications (PMQ/Prince2) Is experienced in multiple stages of a project lifecycle and have delivered in accordance with gated governance processes. Has a proficient understanding of risk management, estimating and budgeting processes. Has proficient interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with senior management and customers. Has preferably had experience of nuclear related projects/programmes or have operated in accordance with Regulatory conditions.
