Buxted Construction is a civil engineering and groundworks contractor formed in 1994. We have around 500 employees working on approximately 30 sites in the southeast of England. Our clients are generally large volume house builders such as Barratt Homes, Bellway Homes, and Redrow Homes.
Buxted Construction is offering a Level 2 Groundwork Apprenticeship where you will learn skills required for the infrastructure on new build development sites over the course of 18 months. Buxted actively promotes career development, and this is a genuine opportunity for growth. Several of our foremen and machine operators started as apprentices.
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by gaining hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
* Slab laying
* Kerb laying
* Digging foundations
* Laying drainage
* General labour work to help keep the site tidy and organised
* Brickwork
* Levelling and setting out
Training to be provided
Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
College or training organisation: CITB
Your training course: Groundworker (level 2) Equal to GCSE
More training information: We offer training with CITB and will have college release.
Entry Requirements
Essential qualifications: GCSE in English (grade 3-9 D-A) and Maths (grade 3-9 D-A)
