About the Role
Are you an experienced Contracts Management professional ready to take on a dynamic role? We're looking for a Commercial Officer - Contracts Management to join our team based in Helensburgh and drive success across our projects and programmes (12 Month Fixed Term Contract FTC)
As a Commercial Officer - Contracts Management, you will:
1. Manage Comprehensive Contract Functions: Oversee the entire spectrum of contract management, from initial capture and proposal through to contract award and administration.
2. Provide Business Advice and Guidance: Coordinate with various functions to effectively manage contract solicitations, negotiations, and terms fulfilment.
3. Ensure Compliance: Ensure all contractual actions comply with laws, regulations, and Delegation of Authority and approval requirements.
4. Lead Audits: Support and lead internal and external audits to verify compliance and support contract-related activities.
5. Administer Complex Contracts: Independently manage multiple, complex contracts with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
6. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of different commercial/contract models.
7. Ensure compliance with Terms and Conditions, identify risks, and implement solutions.
8. Independently identify and implement contract revisions and improvements.
9. Liaise with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to provide guidance and support.
10. Organise and maintain contract files.
11. Ensure timely execution of all contract actions and closeouts.
12. Keep stakeholders informed of current issues and their resolutions.
13. Ensure prime contract requirements are communicated to suppliers.

Required skills, qualifications and experience
17. Proven experience as a Commercial Officer or in a similar contracts management role.
18. Expertise in managing contracts for major projects, programmes, and complex agreements.
19. Strong knowledge of commercial/contract models and risk management.
20. Keen attention to detail with strong analytical, report writing, and organisational skills.
21. Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
Desirable Skills
22. Experience in MOD / Defence contracts management.
23. Experience in a business development role, supporting capture management and bids.

Lockheed Martin UK – Strategic Systems (LMUK SS) is the single contractor providing specialist Waterfront In-Service Support to one of the Royal Navy's Submarine Programs. The company provides the Ministry of Defence (MoD) with safe, efficient and responsive support.
