CAD Draughtsperson
Location: Fareham
Our client is an international leader in the development and supply of high performance, innovative materials and solutions for applications in filtration and separation.
Main function:
Production of detail drawings and design packages for manufacture, incorporation of engineering changes.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with project engineers to produce "Right First Time" design packages from proposals and specifications, including:
2. Detail manufacturing and installation drawings to BS8888 Drawing Standards
3. Specification data sheets
4. Factory Acceptance Procedures
5. Installation and Operation Manuals
6. Review and incorporation of engineering change orders
7. Produce proposal drawings in conjunction with sales and applications engineers
8. Incorporation of engineering change requests
9. Basic design analysis e.g. Tolerance/interference check, simple mechanical calculations e.g. Hoop stress
10. Liase with manufacturing, quality, purchasing and planning to ensure "Design for Manufacture" and "Value Engineering" principles are applied
11. Play a key role in developing our CAD system; standardising and automating design processes and maintaining the document management system

Qualifications:
1. HNC Mechanical Engineering/ Computer Aided Engineering/ Design, 3 years minimum industrial experience in a mechanical/aerospace/fabrication environment
2. Knowledge of CNC machined components, close tolerance parts and pressure bearing components/systems/vessel fabrication would be advantageous
3. A keen interest in computer aided design and manufacture, industry trends and latest technology to optimise the process
