Stores / Materials Team Leader
We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Materials Team Leader to join and lead our client's existing team. As a key player in the operation, you'll oversee the daily activities of the Materials department, ensuring efficient material flow and optimal stock management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a small dedicated team, providing guidance and support.
2. Daily Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations, including stock control, material booking, and equipment operation.
3. Stock Management: Optimise inventory levels, ensure accurate records and coordinate with suppliers for orders and delivery lead times.
4. Internal Relationships: Work with internal teams including supply chain, purchasing and production to ensure stock levels are kept at optimal levels for timely production and dispatch of completed goods.
5. MRP System: Be responsible for updating the MRP system to fully optimise its use and reduce the chances of human error in the stock flow process.
6. Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
7. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
What You'll Bring:
1. Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment or experience in a senior role with a desire to move to a leadership position.
2. Strong knowledge of materials management and recycling processes.
3. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
4. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
5. Experience with SAP (preferred) or similar ERP systems.
