MacTaggart Scott are looking to recruit a Control Panel Design Engineer to work in our Design Department.

Role:
This role reports directly into the Electrical and Controls Principal Engineer. The purpose of the role is to be responsible for designing electrical control panels/systems that will be manufactured and tested in-house.
Duties will include:
* Design control panels using:
-Relay Logic
-PLCs
-Variable Frequency Drives
-HMI/SCADA
* Produce drawings, bill of materials and technical documentation.
* Generate concept designs for manufacture and test in-house.
* Oversee in-house manufacture and test of control panels.
* Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
* Support the wider business (bids, manufacture & test, post design services, etc.)
Requirements
The successful candidate must;
* Be degree educated in Control/Electrical Engineering or relevant Apprenticeship with HNC.
* Have previous experience of control panel design.
* Experience of preparing technical documentation and drawings.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Skilled in the use of MS Office products.
* Familiarity of related standards (BS, EN, 18th Edition, etc.).
