Mobile Mechanical Engineering Supervisor – London
Location: London and home counties
Salary: £55,000
Hours: Days Monday to Friday
One of the well-known companies in the FM and Maintenance industry is currently looking to recruit a key member of staff to add to their high-profile portfolio based in Central London and home counties. As a company, they provide specialist support in the operation, maintenance, and repair of building services, excelling in the maintenance of technically demanding blue chip and critical sites within London’s Square Mile and Central London. This will include managing the planned and reactive maintenance schedules, attending client meetings, compiling reports, supervising staff, and managing sub-contractors.
My client is looking for a hands-on supervisor who can dip into on-the-tools work when required.

Responsibilities:
As the Building Services Pumps Manager, you will be responsible for:
1. Overseeing and managing all aspects of pumping systems, including foul and surface water pumping stations, packaged booster sets, pressurization units, and more.
2. Conducting hands-on repairs, maintenance, and installations as needed.
3. Monitoring and assessing system performance, identifying and resolving issues promptly to ensure optimal functionality.
4. Maintaining mechanical installations, repairs, and maintenance to M&E Plant and Building Fabric.
5. Completing proactive inspections, remedial repairs, and installations.
6. Providing support to the wider Engineering Day Team in the event of an emergency call.
7. Supporting in providing cost information for chargeable Mechanical and Plumbing works on site.
8. Collaborating with a team of skilled technicians and providing guidance and support when necessary.
9. Implementing preventive maintenance plans and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
10. Liaising with clients, suppliers, and contractors to coordinate projects and ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
1. Proven experience and expertise in working with a variety of pumping systems.
2. Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
3. NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing/Heating or equivalent.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
5. The ability to manage projects efficiently and meet deadlines.
6. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
