Salary: Up to £12.64 per hour
Hours: 24 hours per week

MAIN PURPOSE:
* Responsible for the cleaning of all designated areas in the unit to a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness, in line with current health and safety, and infection control legislation and Brainkind's policies and procedures.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* To ensure a high level of cleanliness is maintained throughout the service at all times.
* Responsible for designated areas and you will ensure these areas are cleaned to the frequency and standard set out.
* May have supervisory duties of other domestic staff and delegation of responsibilities where necessary and/or appropriate.
* To use approved cleaning materials appropriately in accordance with manufacturers' instructions, COSHH and internal guidelines.
* To use cleaning materials economically and to ensure appropriate levels of stock are maintained, as agreed with your line manager.
* To use electrical and mechanical equipment, floor polishers, etc., after appropriate training.
* To ensure that tools and equipment are in good working order and defects and faults are reported to your line manager.
* To contribute to major cleaning tasks as required by the service.
* Establish and maintain professional working relationships with the service users, contributing to the creation of a homely and pleasant living environment for each service user.
* Assist in the completion of service user(s) laundry where required.
* During the course of your work, you will at all times conduct yourself in a professional manner, acting as a role model to colleagues and service users, contributing to the delivery of quality services. To work as a member of the team, contributing to the team ethos and supporting service users(s) and colleagues appropriately.
ABOUT YOU:
* Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
* Previous work as a cleaner or related service experience.
* Previous experience within housekeeping and ability to demonstrate all aspects of role through gained exposure.
* IT skills including the ability to open and send emails using Outlook, the ability to use Microsoft Office, and the ability to navigate the internet.
* Customer care skills.
