Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a well-motivated individual to support the development and delivery of a communications strategy, supporting Salford Primary Care Together (SPCT) across website, social media, publishing, marketing, branding and events activities. As we develop further, we are looking to recruit a communications officer to play a key role across our digital, social media, marketing and wider membership communications activities.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will be primarily responsible for creating and delivering communications and marketing plans for projects across the organisation, managing newsletters, writing copy, identifying content for and scheduling social media messages, and creating content for our website, including new approaches to digital publishing.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about communications and looking to build their experience and expertise in an up-and-coming organisation. The role is busy and varied and the successful candidate will get wide-ranging experience working across a number of key communications activities.
An element of this role may include secondment opportunities with external partners and stakeholders, subject to the postholder's agreement.
You will also be supported to develop your expertise through training and ongoing support and development.

Key Responsibilities And Duties Of The Role
1. Support the development and delivery of communication plans to promote our reports, events and other services to our target audiences.
2. Work closely with teams across the organisation to commission, develop and edit content for our communications channels including the website, social media and newsletters.
3. Lead on information bulletins that go to our members, provide training and offer support and expertise to colleagues using the Campaign Monitor email platform, advising on style, branding, content and analytics.
4. Support on all aspects of the production of digital and print publications, ensuring the NHS Providers branding and style guidelines are effectively deployed.
5. Liaise with colleagues to develop, edit and quality control content for the website and advise on appropriate locations for new pages and products.
6. Work closely with teams across the organisation to keep website content relevant and up to date.
7. Develop and maintain an image library for use across the website, social media channels and publications.
8. Plan and schedule content for the corporate social media accounts, ensuring regular content and consistent messaging.
9. Plan and deliver social media campaigns for specific projects and products.
10. Coordinate content and production for onsite materials and branding for key annual events.
11. Collect a range of performance indicators that will enable us to monitor and evaluate the impact of our communications activities.
12. Review the use of new and emerging technology that can be used to strengthen NHS Providers digital communication strategies.
13. Support the team with ad hoc administrative duties as required.

You Will Be Required To Be
Creative ability to write content and produce creative images using industry standard design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) ensuring brand consistency across the board, liaising with external agencies as and when required.
Organised be able to manage your own time effectively & work independently to meet deadlines. You will be required to showcase your project management skills due to the various aspects of marketing required across the group.
Ideas Driven contribute to new ideas for communications. You will be expected to generate fresh approaches to the delivery of the SPCT strategy, looking at a variety of medium and platforms, outsourcing where appropriate to raise brand awareness.
Approachable be able to liaise with SPCT's partner organisations and other healthcare providers & external partners.

Experience Essential
* Experience of working in a busy communications environment.
* Experience of delivering and evaluating communications plans.
* Experience of producing branded event materials and publications from concept through to design and print.
* Experience of uploading content for digital communication channels including website and social media.
Desirable
* Experience of design and photo editing programmes.
* Experience/knowledge of the health sector.
Knowledge and Skills Essential
* Knowledge of website, social media, and newsletter content management and customer relationship management systems.
* Ability to develop productive, professional working relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
* Ability to act on initiative, to work under pressure, prioritise workload, and exercise judgement.
* Attention to detail, strong communication skills, excellent organisational skills.
* IT literacy knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
