LI-Hybrid This is the job We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Project Manager to join our Digital Operations team. In this role, you will lead strategic projects that support our digital strategy, mentor Project Managers and Junior Project Managers, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to deliver customer and business outcomes efficiently and effectively. What will I be doing? Manage projects to ensure timely and effective delivery to the required standard, including preparing detailed project documentation. In-directly manage, mentor, and guide Project Managers and Junior Project Managers. Communicate project progress and status to sponsors, key stakeholders, and team members, ensuring solutions are fit for their operational purpose. Identify, assess, and monitor risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests to ensure projects are delivered to time, cost, and quality criteria. Influence change management to ensure best practices are followed and lead a project team to report and analyse change across the organisation. Create and maintain good working relationships with program managers, project sponsors, and senior managers, supporting and deputising for the Head of Portfolio Delivery as required. What do I need? Demonstrable Project Management expertise and skills within both Digital and IT across medium-large scope/scale, with a proven ability to lead multi-functional teams and deliver projects to budget and timescale. Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills across all business levels, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Jira, Confluence, and Miro. In-depth business experience and commercial acumen, with a deep understanding of all stages of the system lifecycle and various project delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). Expert problem-solving skills and analytical approach, with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and make decisions where appropriate. Ability to foster a learning environment, mentor team members, and build costed technical roadmaps with technical experts and third parties. Self-starter with a drive to succeed, focusing on delivering business benefits and continuous improvement, while being open, honest, and reliable.
