Director of Student Services and Wellbeing
JOB PURPOSE:
The Director of Student Services and Wellbeing will report directly to the Principal and will undertake line management responsibilities as directed.
The Director will work closely and collaboratively with other members of the Senior Leadership Team, the Heads of Programmes/Principal Lecturers and relevant Professional Services colleagues, in the strategic leadership of student services in line with the priorities set out in the Corporate Plan, the Annual Business Plan and to meet the accountability requirements as set out by DfE.
The Director is responsible for the strategic planning, development and implementation of operational plans for Student Services and Wellbeing which include: Registry & Admissions, Careers, Widening Participation & Community Engagement, Library, Student Support, Students’ Union, College Alumni, Timetabling and overseeing examinations. The Director is also responsible for leading the University College engagement with the Students’ Union as well as being a member of the College Trust board which exists to support students needing assistance due to specific economic or other circumstances.
The Director will provide leadership in developing capacity and capability as well as contributing to strategic planning, policy development and services evaluation within the Directorate.
This will include the management of relevant budgets as appropriate.
GRADE: Director Pay Scale
