We are currently seeking a Process Technician to work across our Farmoor and Swinford Water Treatment Sites in Oxfordshire. These sites provide our customers with a continuous supply of safe, clean, and palatable drinking water.
This role presents an exciting opportunity to join a friendly team that helps produce millions of litres of water for customers across Oxfordshire each day.
This is a diverse and fast-paced role where no two days will be the same. It provides a fantastic opportunity to think differently about how we ensure reliability and resilience of our assets, whilst developing our people and driving a sustainable operating model.
What you’ll be doing as a Process Technician
* As part of a multi-disciplinary team of technicians, you will be working to ensure effective and continuous operation of the sites, and to ensure water quality, compliance, safety, and operational efficiency.
* This will involve operation of plant equipment, maintenance, fault-finding, water-sampling, and monitoring of quality.
* You will be responsible for monitoring and optimising the process of the water treatment works to maintain output and water quality.
* This role also includes supervision of chemical deliveries, working at height, wearing breathing apparatus for confined space or gas room work, and driving heavy goods vehicles. Full training will be required.
* Full training is provided including completion of the ‘licence to operate’ training programme, together with essential health and safety and first aid training courses.
* Once trained, you will be expected to participate in an out of hours standby rota (currently 1 in 6 weeks) for which an extra payment will be provided.
What you should bring to the role
* Demonstrate a ‘can-do’ attitude, have strong problem-solving abilities, and take a solution-focused approach.
* Competent to use company IT systems and Microsoft Office. Experience of SCADA software is desirable.
* Willingness to carry out lone working, working at height, chemical delivery, and confined space working.
* A full UK driving licence.

* Competitive salary from £26,000 per annum, use of van for company purposes, plus all PPE, tools, and equipment provided.
