Job summary Riverside Surgery is looking for a Deputy Practice Manager working 35-37.5 hours over five days (Monday-Friday). This post is integral to assisting the Practice Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Practice. The post holder will work closely with, and under the direction of the Practice Manager to develop and improve processes across clinical and administrative areas. The post holder will work with reception, administrative and clinical staff to provide a high-quality Primary Care service. We serve a population of approximately 15,650 patients across the Evesham area and surrounding villages. Please note we may choose to close this advert early if we receive too many applications. Main duties of the job Deputise for the Practice Manager in their absence Oversee the reception services of the practice; ensuring staff achieve their primary responsibilities Line manage all staff, supporting development, providing guidance & direction, ensuring staff are up to date with mandatory training Completing staff appraisals as required Identify and deliver training when required Develop, implement & embed efficient processes & procedures. Compiling rotas Responsible for staff holidays & absences A focal point for communication, advising staff on methods of communication & best practice Provide initial guidance & advice to patients who wish to complain Support the Practice Manager in the development of CQC readiness Lead regular team meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes as appropriate Keep the practice manager informed of any matters arising or problems Provide a point of contact for building & estate issues including telephone systems, maintenance schedules, works & issues About us Situated in beautiful Worcestershire countryside, Riverside Surgery is a dynamic and proactive practice, due to a strong partnership with a forward thinking and positive ethos around providing the highest quality of care to our patients and developing our team.
