Assistant Service Manager Brecon/ Crickhowell 37 hours per week £28,371 per annum What you will be doing Working alongside the Service manager to ensure a safe service for the people we support and our colleagues To support the Service manager to ensure the service is compliant in line with legislation, Cartrefi’s policies and procedures and to ensure quality standards. To provide leadership and management to the team, monitoring performance and engage with supervisions, appraisals and team meetings. To develop, promote and ensure the effective delivery of person centred, outcomes-focussed support to service users. To Respect, Safeguard and Enable each person as an individual with the right to expect autonomy, choice and privacy. To manage the service in the absence of the Service Manager and report to the Area manager/on call manager where appropriate. Undertake support duties in line with the needs of the people we support. Working shifts as directed by the rota including sleep ins and waking nights as required. Commit to own personal development, attending training when required and seeking development opportunities What you will need Great communication Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities in a social care setting QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care To be passionate about supporting people to live an enriched life and fulfil their potential Knowledge and understanding of the principles of confidentiality and privacy A good understanding of health and safety legislation and management in a social care setting A working knowledge and understanding of the Care Council for Wales Code of Practice Excellent IT skills Flexibility to work shifts and provide cover as required A full clean driving license and willingness to travel for meetings and training.
