Based at Merville Barracks in Colchester we are recruiting for a Technical and Quality Assurance Assistant (Food Manufacturing) to oversee the safety, quality and legality of all food products made on site. Due to the nature of this role security clearance is required for which you would need to have a valid British passport and have lived in the UK for over 5 years. You must also be residing within a commutable distance of Colchester, Essex, CO2 7UT. This is a busy and varied role where you will be working under the Central Food Production Unit Operations Manager within the catering department and be responsible for the following: Health and Safety (including risk assessments and allergen checks) Client relationship management. Stock Control Audits Staff training and machinery training You will have a Level 3 CIEH Food safety or equivalent qualification and IOSH qualification as well as proven experience of quality assurance and industry knowledge of chilled/ frozen food manufacturing. You will be keen, enthusiastic, and willing to learn and have good organisation, communication and customer service skills and high attention to detail.
