About the role:
The Events Manager will be responsible for project managing a portfolio of global meetings, conferences, tradeshows and webinars, leading on all aspects of event planning and delivery. Previous experience in the MedTech field is not necessary for this role. We are looking for a detail-oriented, self-motivated team player with a positive and proactive approach.
Key Responsibilities will include:
* Full operational responsibility for the day-to-day planning and timely execution of a suite of small to mid-sized tradeshows, conferences and meetings across the UK and Europe.
* Liaise with Vision RT sales, clinical and product teams to ensure events meet commercial objectives.
* Work with international suppliers across AV, freight, logistics, catering, venue hire, design and printing services; negotiate costs and manage supplier contracting and invoicing.
* Lead on booth design with our tradeshow partners, to create exhibition stands to demo our SGRT equipment.
* Prepare and manage communications with event speakers and VIP customers, including collating content and coordinating travel / accommodation.
* Manage cost trackers and ensure events remain within budget.
* On occasion, attend events to manage logistics and attendee hosting.
* Provide ad-hoc support to the broader Marketing team as required.
* Working in our Finchley office Mon- Wed, and 2 days remote.
* Ability to occasionally travel globally and work weekends, holidays and nonstandard hours when required.
Essential skills & experience:
* 5+ years experience in corporate event management.
* Strong ability to work as part of a team, as well as to demonstrate initiative and solve problems independently.
* Extremely organized and confident in ability to multi task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
* Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
* Enjoy working in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment where no two days are the same.
Desirable skills & experience:
* University degree or equivalent, preferably in marketing, communications, public relations or related field.
* Tradeshow events experience.
* B2B Events Management.
