Our projects range from single dwellings to large urban developments, and work closely with developers, architects, and local authorities to deliver transport solutions that enhance urban mobility and sustainable development.
Job Description:
We're looking to speak to a Graduate Transport Planner with 1 to 4 years of experience to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting a variety of development-related transport planning projects, from small residential schemes to major urban regeneration initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Transport Assessments and Travel Plans: Assist in the preparation of Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) chapters for various development projects.
* Data Analysis: Collect, analyse, and interpret transport data, including traffic counts, travel surveys, and transport models.
* Planning Application Support: Provide input to the transport elements of planning applications, working with clients to ensure that developments meet local and national policy requirements.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders to support project delivery.
* Sustainability and Mobility Strategies: Support the development of innovative, sustainable transport solutions that promote active travel, public transport, and reduced reliance on private cars.
* Technical Reports and Presentations: Prepare high-quality technical reports, presentations, and drawings to communicate transport solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Project Support: Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, providing support on various project aspects from inception through to delivery.
Key Skills and Experience:
* 1-4 years of experience in Transport Planning, preferably within a consultancy environment.
* A degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related discipline.
* Strong understanding of UK transport policies, guidelines, and regulations.
* Experience in preparing Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and technical reports.
* Proficiency in transport modelling software (e.g., TRICS, Junctions 9, LINSIG) is advantageous.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and interpret transport data.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
* A passion for sustainable transport and urban development.
