About the Role
:
We have a great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As our Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for managing all costs relating to our projects. Your focus is to minimise the costs of a project and enhance margin and value for money, whilst still achieving the required standards and quality. This will also include procurement, subcontract management inclusive of administration of the contract, monthly payments and final account settlement.
1. Collating and issuing tender packs for sub-contractor work packages
2. Negotiation and analysis of Sub contractor tender returns
3. Producing tender analysis for subcontract work packages
4. Completion of Subcontract orders and variations
5. Subcontract payments, variations, and final accounts
6. Completing Monthly CVRs and cost reporting
7. Cost reporting and budget control
8. Attending site project meetings
9. Prepare and issue monthly valuations, cash flow forecasts, key date trackers
Role Criteria:
10. Qualification in Surveying or Construction or equivalent experience
11. Experience of working within the Construction industry for a social housing contractor
12. Excellent IT, analytical and communication skills
13. Strong mathematical ability
14. Ability to assess and analyse information
15. Good business sense
16. Good understanding of budget management
17. Negotiating and networking skills
18. Enthusiasm and Flexibility
19. Able to work within a busy team and under pressure
20. A methodical approach
21. Full UK Driving Licence
