Loughborough University invites applications for up to 10 prestigious Vice-Chancellor Independent Research Fellowships aimed at outstanding early career researchers. This opportunity is designed to support scholars in establishing an independent research career with a comprehensive support system, mentorship, and training.
The Vice-Chancellor Independent Research Fellowships are aimed at recent PhD graduates who are prepared to develop their own ambitious research agenda. The fellowships provide substantial support, including:
* A Loughborough University academic mentor
* Dedicated training and development
* Specialist Fellowship advice
Fellows will be expected to submit applications for externally funded Research Fellowships, helping to set them on a trajectory to accelerate their research careers. One fellowship will be prioritized for an academic at immediate risk from war or conflict.
Minimum Requirements
* Candidates must hold a PhD or equivalent doctoral qualification awarded between 2 December 2021 and 2 December 2024.
* Corrections following the viva examination must be completed to the examiners’ satisfaction by the closing date for applications.
* Applications from diverse backgrounds and minoritized groups are highly encouraged, particularly those who may wish to work part-time.
