Your role involves managing and troubleshooting the SAS environment, collaborating closely with analysts and IT to meet data needs, and maintaining system performance and security. You'll be the go-to expert for SAS-related issues and optimize the platform for efficient analytics. What you'll be doing You will be the primary SAS expert for a single customer as well as providing Analytics Platform Managed Services to other customers. Your primary duties and responsibilities will include: Be the go-to expert for the customer’s SAS platform, ensuring seamless functionality for their users Understand the requirements of their analytics and reporting users, bridging the gap between data needs and IT capabilities Provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support and manage the delegation and resolution of incidents within client SLA’s Plan and execute planned maintenance tasks Support the release management process including release testing and documentation Undertake impact analysis of new SAS software releases Manage and troubleshoot Linux servers, keeping SAS applications running efficiently Troubleshoot various data applications including SAS and Teradata Maintain application logging and audit including backup and recovery Technical Account Management for customers, leading customer engagements and providing strategic advice and technology roadmaps, working closely with the Sales team Lead multiple customer support teams with a focus on high-quality service provision and customer satisfaction Lead the development of new Managed Services propositions Must haves A minimum of five years of experience in a platform administrator role, ideally working with SAS in a support capacity Advanced knowledge and understanding of Linux systems and Cloud Technologies Ability to gather facts to diagnose and solve technical issues Excellent written and verbal communication skills A hands-on and positive approach to problem solving; identifying issues and using initiative and available resources to generate ideas and solutions Hands-on experience in system documentation Ability to diagnose network and data connectivity issues Familiar with the basic concepts of computing languages SQL and Unix scripting skills Desirable Good knowledge of business intelligence applications such as MicroStrategy, SAS Business intelligence, Pentaho, Jasper, Business objects etc. is a plus Good knowledge of performance tuning and security Experience working with and maintaining cloud hosted environments Experience working with open-source platforms (i.e. Posit) SAS Platform Administrator certification is advantageous Your Values Dependability is key.
